PLUMERI WISHING PLACE
Monroe Township, NJ
The Plumeri Wishing Place is like an enchanted garden, welcoming children and their families to the Make-A-Wish Foundation headquarters of New Jersey. Large colorful murals and theatrical environments stimulate the imagination, encouraging children to dream and make a wish. Designed in collaboration with Adironack Studios of Argyle, NY, the fantastical space combines elements of theater set design, lighting, audio, and animated visuals to create a memorable and special experience for visitors.

A GRAND WELCOME
Upon arrival, the Welcome Hall with its heraldic banners and ‘medieval’ wall tapestries immediately signal to children that they are in a special space.

MODERN TEEN LOUNGE
The team solicited feedback from teens to inform the design of an additional space with a more modern and sophisticated look and feel.
“Our goal was for the interior design and architecture to stimulate the imagination and reveal to seriously-ill children the imaginative possibilities of a wish. We can’t say enough about SKOLNICK, but the smiles on the children’s faces, as they explore and experience the imaginative and whimsical setting, are the true testaments to the job SKOLNICK did.
