Biography

David Vimont brings over 20 years of experience as an architect to the SKOLNICK team. As an associate principal, David works closely with client teams and consultants to coordinate design workflows and oversee project deliverables. He is an experienced team leader in diverse international project environments, a strategist for sustainable local development, and an energetic and creative participant in building rewarding project relationships.

David has worked on numerous projects at SKOLNICK including a 100,000 square foot science museum in Turkey, the Gobekli Tepe archaeological Visitor Center, the DCTV Community Media Center in Manhattan, the design of an international mobile travelling exhibit, expansion of a Hamptons store and community performance center, a residence and sculpture studio for an internationally recognized artist, and several other residential projects.

He has worked previously with community development organizations, cultural institutions, and service-learning programs. His past experience includes exhibit architectural coordination and design for the National September 11 Memorial Museum, LEED residential design for the New York City Housing Authority, large-scale development projects in Argentina, Dubai, and Panama, community building projects in the Caribbean and Gulf Coast, and project development in Uganda with Habitat for Humanity. David was a Community Design Fellow with New Yorkers for Parks and graduated with a Masters in Architecture from UCLA.
