POSTER HOUSE
New York, NY
SKOLNICK collaborated with Poster House to develop an Interpretive Master Plan to inform the design of this exciting new museum. Through visioning workshops with staff; front-end evaluations with key stakeholders including collectors, dealers, educators, designers, and future visitors; research into comparable organizations; preliminary spatial studies; and observational studies at a pilot pop-up exhibit, ‘Gone Tomorrow’, the team developed a final planning report outlining the visitor experience criteria, interior space programming recommendations, and preliminary concepts.

ENVISION THE FUTURE
Preliminary visioning workshops helped to solidify the mission and goals of the new museum, hone in on the expectations and motivations of target audiences, describe potential experiential qualities, identify relevant themes and topics, and brainstorm innovative interpretive approaches.
POP-UP EXHIBIT
The pop-up exhibit, ‘Gone Tomorrow,’ provided the team with an excellent opportunity to conduct a formative evaluation and ask attendees a series of questions about the experience. Subsequent analysis, divided by age range, provided the museum with insights and trends for two target age groups.
