Project Architect
SKOLNICK Architecture + Design Partnership is currently seeking to fill the position of Project Architect.
Applicants must have have between 7 and 10 years’ professional experience with significant time working on high-end projects, including cultural and/or educational facility design, museum projects, and custom residential work. This position requires the candidate to demonstrate creativity and design sophistication, be comfortable developing design and construction documents in both REVIT and AutoCAD software environments and demonstrate the ability to translate design concepts in various representational software platforms (Sketchup, Rhino, Grasshopper, etc.). Experience with contemporary, modern, and vernacular design vocabularies preferred. Knowledge of varied building systems, construction technologies and detailing, including wood frame, steel frame, concrete, rough and finish work, exterior detailing, architectural, interior design/millwork, MEP, and structural design coordination are important skills. Candidates should have strong experience working within design teams, and in coordination with sub-consultants (structural, MEP, etc.) and contractors in past projects. Candidates should be detail-oriented and fluent in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite software products. We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and hard-working individual who is both design and detail oriented, has good communication skills, and strong design and working drawing experience.
